Prof. Victor M. Rivera
The Victor Rivera Foundation was created to honor the work of Dr. Victor M. Rivera who has for more than five decades provided outstanding and award-winning care, treatment, and research advances for people with multiple sclerosis around the world. His commitment to MS patients has made a lasting impact in the field of MS and the understanding of this complex disease and pursue ongoing education to stay abreast of the latest trends in the medical field.
Victor M. Rivera, MD, FAAN, Distinguished Emeritus Professor of Neurology at Baylor College of Medicine, and Emeritus/Honorary Neurologist at Houston Methodist Hospital, he is Senior Member and Fellow of the American Academy of Neurology and Founder of the Mexican Academy of Neurology and the Latin American Committee for Treatment and Research in MS (LACTRIMS). He is the Founder and inaugural Director of the Maxine Mesinger Multiple Sclerosis Comprehensive Care Center & Clinic of Baylor College of Medicine. Prof. Rivera has been recognized with unprecedented Lifetime Achievement Awards by both, the Consortium of MS Centers and the National MS Society, being inducted into the NMSS Hall of Fame as an “international soldier of good fortune in the fight against multiple sclerosis…”
